San Carlos Community Garden hosts annual fall festival Saturday, Oct. 22

San Carlos Community Garden (SCCG) will be hosting its annual fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 22, 1 to 3 p.m. The event will be held at 6460 Boulder Lake Avenue.

The two-hour event will be packed with live music, free food and beverages, and activities for all including fall-themed arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt with prizes awarded, garden education resources and demonstrations for native plant gardening, water conservation and more.

In an effort to address food insecurity in the community, SCCG is also asking those who attend to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Good Shepherd Food Distribution Center in El Cajon.

SCCG will be providing all attendees with a recycle bag for collecting all the goodies that will be handed out by the Garden’s community and event exhibitors.
